Knicks, Raw, Kane and some sick shit

It's certainly not easy being a Knicks fan. After Sunday's disappointing OT loss in Boston, tonight's effort against the defending champions was less to be desired. Now keep in mind Dallas did have revenge on their mind after the loss at the Garden a couple weeks back. And they jumped on the Knicks early. The Knicks then made a run before the half and trailed by only 6 at the break. Here's the puzzling part about the Knicks. They have a great finish to the 2nd quarter and come out flat and lack energy and focus to start the 3rd quarter. They go from being down 50-44 to 66-47 in a blink of an eye. It's rather alarming how fast they implode.

The Mavericks are one of the oldest teams in the NBA and the Knicks weren't playing on a back-to-back. The Mavericks built the 19 point lead and then the Knicks decide to play again. They do know the game is 48 minutes???? So the Knicks then go from trailing 66-47 to taking a 78-77 lead with under 5 minutes left in the game. The Mavericks went ice cold and looked quite old in the process. Give the Knicks defense credit. The Mavericks couldn't score and were ripe for the picking. The Mavericks then ended the game on a 18-7 run. That my friends is the definition of being consistently inconsistent. Forget quarter to quarter, you don't know what you're getting minute to minute with the Knicks.

Everyone places the blame on the head coach. We all know D'Antoni will never be confused with Phil Jackson, but was he the reason his so-called superstar Carmelo Anthony went 2-12 and scored just 6 points? At least Stoudemire came out of witness protection and had the type of game that silenced those who thought the end may be near for Amar'e. How about Jeremy Lin? Numbers have quietly come down and so has his shooting percentage. I expected the points to come down but now people have to wonder if the league is starting to figure him out. And I know Baron Davis has more rust than the Tin Man, but he is shooting under 30% from the floor and tonight shot a dismal 3-10. So Lin and Davis combined for 7-23 with just 10 assists. At least their turnovers were down.

So many questions and not enough answers as to why this team cannot figure out what is wrong. People love to talk about the depth and talent on this team. My question is, does this team have any heart? With a record of 18-20 and the schedule that is ahead, do they make a run at the division or do they implode completely? Does anyone think they will win in San Antonio?

Did anyone enjoy what I called the fast forward edition of Monday Night Raw? So glad I DVR most of what I watch because this was one of the worst shows I have ever seen. I get the whole promote Wrestlemania 28 ad nauseum obligation. I just felt bad for the crowd sitting there watching the Rock's garbage comedy routine for 2 hours. I believe there were 5 matches on the show and most ended in under 5 minutes. The Big Show beat the Miz in 2 minutes. Kane then beat R-Truth in about the same time. There was a garbage diva's match that may have last 2 minutes (not sure thanks to the fast forward button on the DVR).

I forgot to write about Kane last week. How ridiculous is it how many times this guy gets built back into a monster and then loses every big match he's ever in? I love the fear in the voices of Cole and Lawler when Kane's music plays. At this point they even have to be sick of sounding afraid. The guy's career has turned into a joke. They put the mask back on him, have him attack Cena and then Zach Ryder to the point where you think he is going to get a legit monster push, and then he looks like a jobber in any high profile match. What's the point? I would play Kane's music and then have whoever is in the ring start laughing instead of looking scared. Don't let Kane attack you, just leave the ring and challenge him to a PPV match. You know you're not going to lose. I say drop the Kane gimmick and bring back Isaac Yankem DDS. 'Open wide Bret Hart.' Too funny those days were.

I'm sorry but I want to fall asleep when the Rock drones on and on and on. Cena's right--the Rock doesn't say anything. I don't care who the 'legit' tough guy as the Rock seems like he wants to tell the audience. As I said in my previous post the business is a work. The match is scripted and the goal of both wrestlers is not to hurt the other. Regardless if these two really dislike one another, they will be forced to play nice at Wrestlemania 28.

Check this out. I intended to post this Sunday night but forgot. Watch this without cringing and you are a sicker fuck than me.
