Thoughts on Raw and the return of the quitter

Monday Night Raw had the atmosphere Wrestlemania 28 lacked. I don't know why the crowd was more alive or how 13,000 people could be louder than 78,000, but that's what happened and it was fun to watch. And finally 'WHAT', '2' or 'woooo' has been replaced. 'YES YES YES YES YES' is what the fans chanted as they moved their arms throughout Monday Night Raw. It was actually entertaining and upstaged anything in the ring until, well, I'll get to that a little bit later.

Whether you want to call him Daniel Bryan or Bryan Danielson, all you can say is whoever came up with the idea for 'YES' is now smiling because the fans made it matter. Just 24 hours after being embarrassed by the WWE by losing his world title in 18 seconds, the fans reminded Vince and son-in-law how much Daniel Bryan is appreciated. Even John Cena was forced to recognize the chants during his worthless dribble about losing to the Rock. Say what you want about Cena, but just by saying Bryan's name as the fans chanted 'YES', just put it over that much more.

Bryan only appeared on Raw in a backstage interview in which he said nothing after being asked a question regarding his title loss. Now whether him coming out to address the fans was planned or added, following the show this is what happened. Talk about having the crowd in the palm of your hands.

That little bit he has with AJ where he asks her opinion and then tells her to shut up is classic. Buy the shirt!!!

For those who have read the blog for several months now know my opinion of Brock Lesnar. For the newcomers to this blog allow me to reiterate my thoughts. The man is a quitter and a giant pussy. He quit on Vince because he couldn't deal with the schedule. He then quit his attempt to be an NFL player after being cut. He then entered the world of mixed martial arts. As much as I loathe the man, I would be an idiot to deny the impact he had on the sport on so many levels. He is responsible for UFC's highest PPV buyrates. He also won the UFC heavyweight title in just his 4th fight.

He then got sick (still not sure what to believe there) and after a year absence returned and wasn't the same. In his last fight in the UFC he was stopped in the first round and then announced his retirement. Pattern anyone? When he faces any adversity this guy takes his ball and goes him. It's like when HBK lost his smile. Are you kidding me? Now he's back in the WWE. It just shows how much wrestling fans can make or break you. They embraced his return like he never walked out on them. Like I said earlier, the fans controlled the show all night with 'YES' chants and then popped for Lesnar like Hogan or Austin in their prime walked through the curtain.

Obviously he will pop ratings and buyrates, but how reliable is he to stick around? Jeff Hardy anyone? And all Cena has to do is avoid the takedown and throw a punch. And did you see him? He looked like he's been eating everything but hasn't worked out since leaving the UFC. Fuck Brock Lesnar! I still hope he dies.

  1. It definitely was entertaining to watch. I didn't expect the fans to embrace Bryant so loudly while cena was talking but that just goes to show you that he isn't the only person Vince needs to count on....there plenty of other wrestlers out there who deserve that chance....and what's this about my boy The Rock wanting a title match? As much as I love him, and you know I do, where is this going to happen and why would Vince let it? This would be a big upset and I just hope it was the adrenaline pumping in Rock's blood that got him talking like that. Part time champion is a no no in the WWE.....lol. As for Lesnar, I kept looking at the clips playing on the titontron and saw someone totally different walking down that ramp. Cena needs to get his shit together and go heel already...this mature, humble crap got old two years ago...smdh
